2013 Battle of the Brands Winner? Blank Park Zoo!

This is it, brand fans. It took tons of Facebook posts, tweets and votes to get here. But you don’t survive matchups against some of Iowa’s finest brands without rallying the troops.

The 4th Annual #LFBOTB championship round pitted Blank Park Zoo against Casey’s General Store, with the winner being crowned 2013 Brand Champion of  Iowa and receiving a $5,000 charity of choice donation in marketing support from Lessing-Flynn.

So, how’d we get to this point? Blank Park Zoo rallied its brand fans to take down Des Moines Performing Arts, AVIVA, Stine Seed, Hy-Vee and the Iowa State Fair to earn its place in the championship round. Casey’s General Store had an equally formidable path to the championship round collecting votes to beat out Kum & Go, Valley Junction, Templeton Rye, Drake University and Iowa State University. Indeed, it’s been brand craziness from start to finish.

With that being said, we’re proud to announce the 2013 Battle of the Brands Champion: Blank Park Zoo! The Blank Park Zoo intends to use the award for the Zoo itself, since it’s a non-profit organization. Plans are in the works to use Lessing-Flynn’s marketing expertise to help them organize a new membership campaign.
