Winner Selected for Lessing-Flynn’s New Charity Initiative

In February, Lessing-Flynn launched a new charity program called The Good & The Ad Initiative with a goal of providing $25,000 in pro-bono marketing services to one local nonprofit organization. We asked interested parties to complete an application which would tell us about their organization’s background and mission and what they would hope to accomplish with $25,000 in donated marketing services.

After the submission period ended in March, LF was left with a pool of nearly 60 top-notch nonprofit applicants to choose from — and since there could only be one winner, we took extra care in reviewing every single organization.

Meet the Winner

Food Bank of Iowa has been serving Iowans in need for more than 35 years with a mission of one day seeing a hunger-free Iowa. The organization serves 175,000 Iowans struggling with food insecurity. The Food Bank team currently distributes one million pounds of food each month, but they would need to distribute twice as much to fully meet the need in Iowa.

As The Good & The Ad Initiative winner, Food Bank of Iowa will partner with Lessing-Flynn to increase awareness of the food insecurity issues across the state. Our work together will aim to share the stories of the many people and organizations who are committed to ending hunger in Iowa.

“We are incredibly excited to have the opportunity to help the Food Bank of Iowa better achieve their goal of creating a hunger-free state,” said Tom Flynn, Lessing-Flynn President. “Their mission is critical to the well-being of our neighbors and community members. Lessing-Flynn will put its best foot forward in the months ahead to support Food Bank of Iowa’s goals using our team of experienced creative experts.”
