When Vermeer introduced the round hay baler in 1971, the company relied largely on live product demos and word-of-mouth to spread awareness. But these days it’s better to create increased product awareness with integrated marketing efforts to get customers to the demo stage faster than ever before. And word travels much faster if you can earn a few headlines with a unique product launch. So in 2017, we deployed a full-fledged marketing and PR blitz for the launch of the ZR5-1200 self-propelled baler at Husker Harvest Days. The pre-show outreach, product launch party and all the supplemental multimedia content produced during the show left audiences and media outlets hungry to know more and spread the word.
