LF BRANDKIND: PRO BONO MARKETING PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM
PUTTING CREATIVITY TO WORK FOR WORTHY CAUSES
In 2026, Lessing-Flynn (LF) will select one nonprofit in the Des Moines area to receive a customized pro bono marketing partnership valued at up to $25,000. Our team will work side by side with the selected organization to creatively solve its brand challenges. Whether it’s a brand refresh, a targeted campaign or a new way to share their mission, together we will help inspire action. When bold ideas meet brave causes, communities move forward.
During the program, the selected organization and LF will:

- Collaborate closely with the LF team for strategic guidance and creative execution.
- Align on the nonprofit’s highest-impact needs.
- Build and launch the approved scope of work.
- Complete all deliverables within the calendar year.

As part of our selection process, three finalists will be invited to participate in a brief in-person presentation with our committee. Finalists will be notified on March 6 and presentations will be the week of March 23-27, 2026.
The selected nonprofit will receive a custom package tailored to its most urgent and meaningful marketing needs. Potential areas of support include:
- Brand strategy or messaging framework.
- Brand refresh.
- Creative development.
- Marketing campaign strategy and activation.
- Video production or digital storytelling.
- Website development or refresh.
- Capital campaign branding, messaging and materials.
LF does NOT cover any hard costs (printing, media placements, hosting fees, etc.).
Organizations must:
- Be registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
- Be headquartered in or primarily serving Central Iowa.
- Clearly articulate their marketing or communications need.
- Demonstrate how improved visibility will advance their mission.
Applicants will submit the following information:
- Organization name, mission and overview
- Primary audiences and current marketing efforts
- Challenges or opportunities where marketing and branding support is needed
- A description of what success looks like
